A vape pipe - also called an e-pipe or electronic pipe - is a pipe-shaped vape. It keeps the shape, weight and slow draw of a traditional briar / rosewood pipe, but instead of burning tobacco it heats e-liquid into vapour. There is no flame, no ash, no ember and nothing to relight.
The appeal for most of our customers is the ritual rather than the nicotine: the weight of the bowl in the hand, the unhurried draw, and being able to keep that habit indoors and in places where lighting a pipe is not an option.

Three parts. The stem is the mouthpiece you draw through. The tank holds your e-liquid and contains a heating coil. The battery sits in the bowl and powers it.
Draw on the stem and the coil heats a small amount of e-liquid into vapour. The ePipe 659 (coming soon ) is manual-fire, so you press the button on the bowl as you draw, which gives you the same deliberate control a real pipe demands. Charge using external 18350 battery charger, refill the tank when it runs low, and replace the coil every couple of weeks depending on use.

Every kit ships in a fitted wooden presentation box and includes the hardwood pipe bowl, the tank, 5-pack of spare coils, a battery charger and a printed manual. The 659 is our 2026 model and the latest in a series we have built continuously since 2007.
You supply your own e-liquid, which lets you choose the flavour and nicotine strength rather than being locked to a prefilled cartridge.

They are the same device in different hardwoods, so it is purely a question of look and feel.
Rosewood is the warmer, more traditional choice - reddish-brown grain, hand-polished, closest to a classic briar. Ebony is a deep near-black with a piano gloss finish, heavier-looking and more formal.
Both are genuine hardwood rather than veneer or coated plastic, which is why they gain character with handling in the way a real pipe does.

At conversational distance, yes. The proportions, the hardwood and the way it sits in the hand all read as a traditional pipe.
The one honest giveaway is the clear window on the tank, which lets you see your e-liquid level. It is a practical feature rather than a design flaw, but if you want the pipe to read as fully period - and this comes up often with theatre and film productions - a sleeve or a wrap over the tank window solves it.

Pipe tobacco blends, unsurprisingly. Our English Flake Pipe Tobacco is formulated specifically for this, and the naturally extracted tobacco blends give the closest thing to a real pipe's character.
Beyond those, our range runs to eleven tobacco varieties - Premium, Virginia, LUX, Mirabella, New London, 5x5, Flue Cured, Rich and Sweet, Robusto, Canadian and English Flake - plus menthol. More than half of everything we make is tobacco or menthol, which is unusual in a market built around fruit and dessert flavours.
Fruit and dessert e-liquids work perfectly well in the device. Most pipe owners simply do not want them.

Anything from 0mg nicotine-free up to 20mg/ml, which is the maximum permitted under UK TRPR regulations. Nicotine-containing e-liquid is sold in 10ml bottles in the UK, again as the regulations require.
If you are coming from pipe tobacco rather than cigarettes, a lower strength usually suits better - pipe smokers tend not to inhale deeply, and a high-strength e-liquid can feel harsh. Many of our pipe customers use nicotine-free entirely and keep the device purely for the ritual.

A full charge typically covers a day of ordinary use, though this varies considerably with how often you draw and how long each draw lasts. It charges using Nitecore battery charger in roughly 90 minutes.
The battery is rated for hundreds of charge cycles. If it does eventually weaken, it is a replaceable part rather than a reason to replace the pipe.

Yes, and this is the main reason to buy a vape pipe rather than a disposable device. We stock replacement stems, tanks, coils, batteries and bowls for the 629 series.
Coils are the only genuine consumable, typically lasting one to three weeks. Everything else is replaced only if damaged. We have supported this series since 2007, which is longer than most vape hardware stays on the market at all.

Not the hardware. From 1 October 2026 the UK's Vaping Products Duty adds £2.20 per 10ml of e-liquid plus VAT, but devices, batteries, tanks, coils and accessories are not taxed - your pipe and its spares are unaffected.
