E-Cigarette FAQ's
-
Question What is a cigalike?
-
Answer
A cigalike is an electronic cigarette built to the shape and size of a real cigarette - roughly 85mm long and the same diameter, usually with a white body and a coloured tip. It is the oldest form factor in vaping and still the most familiar to anyone coming from tobacco.
Instead of burning anything, a cigalike heats e-liquid into vapour. There is no flame, no ash and no smoke. Our SNAPS® REV5 is a rechargeable cigalike, so you replace the cartridge rather than the whole device.
-
Question How does a cigalike work?
-
Answer
Two parts. The battery forms the body of the cigarette. The cartridge screws or clips onto the end and contains both the e-liquid and the heating coil.
Draw on it and the battery powers the coil, which turns a small amount of e-liquid into vapour. When a cartridge runs out you fit a fresh one - no cleaning, no refilling and no coil changes. The SNAPS® REV5 uses a magnetic snap connection rather than a screw thread, so cartridges change in a second and there is nothing to cross-thread.
-
Question What is in ePuffer e-liquid?
-
Answer
Our cartridge e-liquid is built from a small ingredient list: pharmaceutical-grade propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin as the base, nicotine where the strength calls for it, and flavour compounds. Menthol variants use natural menthol crystals.
Every formulation sold in the UK is notified to the MHRA and complies with TRPR requirements. We publish the ingredient list for each product on its product page. Nicotine is an addictive substance, and our products are intended for adults who already smoke or vape.
-
Question What is in a SNAPS® REV5 kit?
-
Answer
The REV5 Power Kit includes two 240mAh rechargeable batteries - so one is always charged while the other is in use - a trio USB charger, cartridges, and a case. It is available in white, black and menthol.
The screwless magnetic design is the main difference from older cigalikes: no threads to wear out, no misalignment, and cartridges seat correctly every time.
-
Question What nicotine strengths are available?
-
Answer
From 0mg nicotine-free up to 20mg/ml, which is the maximum permitted in the UK under TRPR. You choose the strength when you order cartridges, and you can change it at any point simply by ordering a different strength next time.
Nicotine-free cartridges are available across the range. They are a common choice for people who want the physical habit without the nicotine, and for stage and film work.
-
Question How long does a cartridge last?
-
Answer
It depends entirely on how often and how long you draw, so we would rather not quote a cigarette equivalent - the comparison is not reliable across different users. Most customers find a cartridge lasts around a day of regular use.
Cartridges are sold individually and in multi-packs, and multi-packs are considerably better value if you have settled on a flavour and strength.
-
Question Does a cigalike actually look like a cigarette?
-
Answer
Closer than any other format. The REV5 matches a standard cigarette in length and diameter and holds the same way between the fingers, which is the part most people are actually after. Larger pod devices and vape mods do not.
This is also why cigalikes are the standard choice for theatre, film and television, where a prop has to read correctly on camera. We supply productions directly - see our stage and screen page.
-
Question How much does a cigalike cost in the UK?
-
Answer
SNAPS® REV5 Power Kits run from £24.95 to £29.95 complete, including two batteries, the charger and cartridges. After that your only cost is cartridges.
Because the batteries are rechargeable and the kit is built to last, the running cost is materially lower than buying disposables repeatedly - and disposables are no longer legal to sell in the UK in any case.
-
Question Can I get spare parts?
-
Answer
Yes. We stock spare batteries, chargers and magnetic components for the SNAPS range. We have supported this product family since 2007, which is considerably longer than most vape hardware stays available.
-
Question What are the shipping and warranty terms?
-
Answer
We ship from our own UK warehouse in Leicester. Standard delivery is quoted at 24-48 hours and in practice most orders arrive the next working day. Free UK shipping on orders over £50, with Royal Mail Next Day Guaranteed available at checkout for a small extra fee, 3pm cut-off, Mon-Thurs .
Hardware carries a 1-year warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Sales are restricted to adults aged 18 and over, with age verification at checkout.

Question Does the October 2026 vape duty affect cigalikes?
-
Answer
Devices, batteries and chargers are not taxed. Cartridges are, because they contain e-liquid - the Vaping Products Duty is £2.20 per 10ml plus VAT from 1 October 2026, which works out at roughly £1.32 on a 5-pack of 1ml cartridges.
That is one of the smallest increases of any format on the UK market, because the duty is charged by volume and a cartridge holds very little. A 100ml shortfill setup takes closer to £31.68. We also stocked ahead of the deadline, so our prices hold at pre-duty levels while that stock lasts. Full detail in our guide to the Vaping Products Duty.
-
Question What else do you make?
-
Answer
Alongside cigalikes we make rechargeable e-cigars and electronic pipes in genuine hardwood, both built on the same principle: keep the shape and ritual of the original, lose the combustion. These classic formats are the ones most of the vaping industry abandoned and the ones we have specialised in since 2007.
E-Cigar FAQ's
-
Question What is an e-cigar?
-
Answer
An e-cigar, or cigar vape, is a battery-powered device built to the shape and proportions of a real cigar. Where a traditional cigar burns tobacco leaf, an e-cigar heats e-liquid into vapour. There is no combustion, no ash and no ember.
The point of the format is the ritual and the feel - the ring gauge in the hand, the slow draw, the substance of the thing. That is what a pod device or a vape mod cannot replicate, and it is why the e-cigar has kept a dedicated following while most of the industry moved on.
-
Question Traditional cigar versus e-cigar - what is the difference?
-
Answer
A traditional cigar burns tobacco. An e-cigar vaporises e-liquid. The flavour is not identical - no vapour product tastes exactly like a lit Havana, and we would not claim otherwise - but the Robusto is formulated for a full-bodied cigar tobacco profile and built to the same physical proportions.
The practical differences: no smoke, no ash, no lingering odour on clothes or furnishings, nothing to relight, and you can set it down and pick it up again half an hour later. For anyone who wants to buy e-cigar UK products rather than keep a humidor, that combination is usually the deciding factor.
-
Question How does an e-cigar work?
-
Answer
Draw on the mouthpiece and an airflow sensor triggers the coil inside the pod, which heats a small amount of e-liquid into vapour. There is no button and nothing to light - it works the way drawing on a cigar does.
The Robusto Rechargeable runs on a lithium-ion battery recharged over USB, typically covering a day of use. Pods are either prefilled or blank refillables, so you can use our cigar tobacco blends or fill with any e-liquid you prefer.
You choose the nicotine strength, from 20mg/ml down to 0mg nicotine-free. Changing strength is simply a matter of ordering different pods next time.
-
Question Why choose a cigar vape over a pod or a mod?
-
Answer
Because of the format, not the technology. Everything inside a modern e-cigar exists in smaller devices too - what you are buying is the shape, the weight and the draw.
Practically: it is usable indoors and in places where lighting a cigar is not an option, since nothing is burning; the vapour disperses rather than settling into fabric; a prefilled Robusto pod delivers the experience of roughly 10-12 premium cigars for £14.95, against what a box of comparable cigars costs; and there is no waste, no cutting and no relighting.
-
Question What happened to disposable e-cigars?
-
Answer
Disposable vapes, including our original Robusto Disposable, are no longer legal to sell in the UK or EU. We redesigned the Robusto from the ground up as a rechargeable device in response.
The rechargeable version keeps the same aircraft-grade aluminium body, rose-gold cigar ring and Cuban-style tobacco profile, but with a pod system instead of a sealed single-use unit. It works out considerably cheaper over time and it complies with current UK law. Nothing in our range is affected by the disposables ban.
-
Question What is in the Robusto e-cigar kit?
-
Answer
The Robusto Rechargeable E-Cigar Kit is £79.95 and includes the aluminium body with rose-gold cigar ring, two rechargeable batteries, USB charger and 3 blank refillable pods to get you started.
Pods are sold separately: Havana Red and Havana Gold prefilled 3-packs at £14.95, and blank refillable 3-packs at £12.95 if you would rather use your own e-liquid.
-
Question What e-liquid and pod flavours are available?
-
Answer
Our prefilled Robusto pods come in Havana Red and Havana Gold, both built around a Cuban-style cigar tobacco profile - Red the fuller-bodied of the two, Gold with a sweeter finish.
With blank refillable pods you can use anything from our e-liquid range. More than half of what we make is tobacco or menthol - eleven tobacco varieties including Premium, Virginia, LUX, Mirabella, New London and Robusto - which is unusual in a market built around fruit and dessert flavours, and it means there is a genuine choice of cigar-adjacent blends rather than one token option.
-
Question What nicotine strengths can I use?
-
Answer
From 0mg nicotine-free up to 20mg/ml, which is the UK legal maximum under TRPR. Nicotine-containing e-liquid is sold in 10ml bottles in the UK, as the regulations require.
Cigar smokers typically do not inhale deeply, so a lower strength often suits better than it would someone coming from cigarettes. Nicotine-free is available across the range and is a common choice for people who want the ritual without the nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive substance; our products are intended for adults who already smoke or vape.
-
Question Is the Robusto well built?
-
Answer
The body is aircraft-grade aluminium rather than plastic, with a rose-gold cigar ring. It is manufactured under quality control with tested atomiser components, and the lithium-ion battery is rated for hundreds of charge cycles.
Every kit ships with a manual covering operation and safe handling. As with any lithium battery device, store it in its case, keep it away from extreme heat, and keep it out of reach of children and animals. Hardware carries a 1-year warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
-
Question Where can I buy an e-cigar in the UK?
-
Answer
Directly from us. ePuffer was among the first companies in the world to bring an electronic cigar to market and we have made them continuously since 2007 - which is why we still stock spares and pods for a format most retailers never carried at all.
We ship from our own UK warehouse in Leicester. Standard delivery is quoted at 24-48 hours and most orders arrive the next working day, with free UK shipping on orders over £50 and Royal Mail Next Day Guaranteed available at checkout for a small extra fee. Every purchase carries a 30-day money-back guarantee.
-
Question Are e-cigars used in theatre and film?
-
Answer
Yes, regularly. A prop cigar has to read correctly from the back of the house and on a close-up, and produce visible vapour on cue without a flame anywhere near the set. The Robusto is built to a real cigar's ring gauge, which is what makes it work in the hand on camera.
We supply theatre, film and television productions directly, including world-class musicals. Details on our stage and screen page.
-
Question Does the October 2026 vape duty affect e-cigars?
-
Answer
Not the device. From 1 October 2026 the UK's Vaping Products Duty adds £2.20 per 10ml of e-liquid plus VAT, but hardware, batteries and blank pods are not taxed.
Prefilled pods are, though lightly: a 3-pack holds 6ml, so the duty works out at roughly £1.58. That is among the smallest increases of any format, because the duty is charged by volume - a 100ml shortfill setup takes closer to £31.68. We stocked ahead of the deadline, so our prices hold at pre-duty levels while that stock lasts. Full detail in our guide to the Vaping Products Duty.
-
Question What else do you make?
-
Answer
Alongside e-cigars we make electronic pipes in genuine rosewood and ebony, and SNAPS cigalike e-cigarettes shaped like a real cigarette. All three follow the same idea: keep the form and ritual of the original, lose the combustion. We also make the XPOD pod system for anyone who wants something more compact.
E-Liquid FAQ's
-
Question What is e-liquid?
-
Answer
E-liquid, also called vape juice or e-juice, is what a vape device heats to produce vapour. Nothing burns - the liquid is warmed until it turns to vapour, which is why there is no smoke, ash or combustion.
Every e-liquid is built from a base of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin, plus flavouring, and nicotine where the strength calls for it. Nicotine-free options are available across our range.
-
Question Is ePuffer e-liquid vegan and gluten-free
-
Answer
Yes to both. Every e-liquid we make is vegan and gluten-free.
Vegetable glycerin is plant-derived, propylene glycol is synthetic, and none of our flavourings use animal-derived or wheat-derived ingredients. We blend our own e-liquid rather than buying in and relabelling, which is why we can state this across the whole range rather than product by product.
Our e-liquids also contain no diacetyl, no acetoin and no acetyl propionyl. Full ingredient lists are published on each product page.
-
Question What nicotine strengths are available in the UK?
-
Answer
UK law caps nicotine at 20mg/ml and limits nicotine-containing e-liquid to 10ml bottles. Our range covers four strengths:
- 0mg/ml - nicotine-free
- 6mg/ml - light
- 12mg/ml (1.2%) - moderate
- 20mg/ml (2.0%) - the UK maximum
Any strength above 20mg/ml cannot legally be sold in the UK, whatever you may see quoted from other markets. Most people find it easier to start lower and step up than the other way round.
Nicotine is an addictive substance. Our products are intended for adults aged 18 and over who already smoke or vape.
mg/ml and percentage are the same measure. Divide by ten to convert: 6mg/ml is 0.6%, 12mg/ml is 1.2%, and 20mg/ml is 2.0%. UK bottles are usually labelled in mg/ml, while some other markets and older packaging use the percentage.
A cigarette is not directly comparable - the nicotine actually absorbed depends on how it is smoked, and the same is true of vaping. Rather than converting from cigarettes, most people find it more useful to start at a strength and adjust by how satisfied they feel after a few days.
-
Question What are PG and VG, and what is the difference?
-
Answer
Propylene glycol (PG) is a thin, colourless, odourless liquid. It carries flavour well and produces most of the throat hit.
Vegetable glycerin (VG) is thicker and slightly sweet, derived from vegetable oil. It produces denser vapour and a smoother inhale.
Every e-liquid is a blend of the two, and the ratio shapes how it vapes: higher PG for throat hit and flavour definition, higher VG for vapour volume and smoothness. Common ratios are 50:50, 60:40 and 70:30. Our blends are pre-mixed and balanced for their intended device, so there is nothing for you to calculate. A small number of people find PG irritating - a higher-VG blend is the answer if that applies to you.
-
Question What is the difference between nic salt and freebase?
-
Answer
Freebase nicotine gives a sharper throat hit and carries flavour assertively. It suits refillable tanks, e-pipes and higher-power devices.
Nicotine salts deliver nicotine more quickly with a noticeably smoother throat hit at the same strength, which is why they suit compact pod systems and cigalikes where you take shorter, more frequent draws.
Each product page states which formulation the blend uses.
-
Question Which e-liquid tastes most like real tobacco?
-
Answer
Premium Tobacco is the one our customers come back for more than any other, and it is where most people coming from cigarettes start.
More than half our range is tobacco or menthol, which is unusual - most of the market is built around fruit and dessert. For specific profiles: Virginia and Flue Cured for a brighter, drier cigarette character; LUX and Mirabella for fuller layered blends; English Flake for pipe tobacco; Havana Cuban Cigar and Robusto for cigar.
No vapour product tastes exactly like burning tobacco - we would not claim otherwise - but these are formulated for tobacco character rather than sweetness. The Tobacco Variety 5-Pack at £16.95 is the cheapest way to try the range.
-
Question How should I store e-liquid, and how long does it keep?
-
Answer
Every bottle carries a printed batch number and expiry date, and stored properly e-liquid keeps well within that date.
Keep bottles away from heat and direct light, upright, with the cap closed. Heat and UV are what degrade flavour and base over time - a bottle left on a sunny windowsill will turn long before one in a drawer. E-liquid does not evaporate through a closed cap, but it will darken with age, which is normal oxidation rather than spoilage.
If a liquid has darkened considerably, separated, or smells noticeably different from when you opened it, replace it. Store out of reach of children and animals - our bottles have child-resistant caps with a raised triangle for blind and partially sighted users, under a tamper-evident seal.
-
Question Can I mix different e-liquids together?
-
Answer
You can, and plenty of people do. Mixing two finished e-liquids of the same nicotine strength is straightforward - the result is a blend of both flavours, and it may or may not taste good. Tobacco and menthol mix well; tobacco and fruit usually do not.
Mixing across manufacturers can give unpredictable results, since base ratios and flavour concentrations differ. Try a small quantity before committing a full bottle. Note that mixing two strengths averages the nicotine, so keep track if that matters to you.
We do not sell nicotine concentrates or base for home mixing, and we would not recommend handling undiluted nicotine.
-
Question Why does my vape taste burnt?
-
Answer
Almost always a dry wick. The coil is heating with too little liquid reaching it, so what burns is the wick rather than the e-liquid.
Common causes: the tank or pod has run low; a new coil was fired before the wick had time to saturate, so prime it and wait a minute or two; drawing repeatedly without a pause between puffs; or a high-VG liquid in a device designed for something thinner. If the taste persists after refilling and resting the device, the coil has gone and needs replacing.
E-Pipe FAQ's
-
Question What is a vape pipe?
-
Answer
A vape pipe - also called an e-pipe or electronic pipe - is a pipe-shaped vape. It keeps the shape, weight and slow draw of a traditional briar / rosewood pipe, but instead of burning tobacco it heats e-liquid into vapour. There is no flame, no ash, no ember and nothing to relight.
The appeal for most of our customers is the ritual rather than the nicotine: the weight of the bowl in the hand, the unhurried draw, and being able to keep that habit indoors and in places where lighting a pipe is not an option.
-
Question How does E-Pipe work?
-
Answer
Three parts. The stem is the mouthpiece you draw through. The tank holds your e-liquid and contains a heating coil. The battery sits in the bowl and powers it.
Draw on the stem and the coil heats a small amount of e-liquid into vapour. The ePipe 659 (coming soon ) is manual-fire, so you press the button on the bowl as you draw, which gives you the same deliberate control a real pipe demands. Charge using external 18350 battery charger, refill the tank when it runs low, and replace the coil every couple of weeks depending on use.
-
Question What comes in an ePipe 659 kit?
-
Answer
Every kit ships in a fitted wooden presentation box and includes the hardwood pipe bowl, the tank, 5-pack of spare coils, a battery charger and a printed manual. The 659 is our 2026 model and the latest in a series we have built continuously since 2007.
You supply your own e-liquid, which lets you choose the flavour and nicotine strength rather than being locked to a prefilled cartridge.
-
Question Rosewood or ebony - which vape pipe should I choose?
-
Answer
They are the same device in different hardwoods, so it is purely a question of look and feel.
Rosewood is the warmer, more traditional choice - reddish-brown grain, hand-polished, closest to a classic briar. Ebony is a deep near-black with a piano gloss finish, heavier-looking and more formal.
Both are genuine hardwood rather than veneer or coated plastic, which is why they gain character with handling in the way a real pipe does.
-
Question Does a pipe shaped vape actually look like a real pipe?
-
Answer
At conversational distance, yes. The proportions, the hardwood and the way it sits in the hand all read as a traditional pipe.
The one honest giveaway is the clear window on the tank, which lets you see your e-liquid level. It is a practical feature rather than a design flaw, but if you want the pipe to read as fully period - and this comes up often with theatre and film productions - a sleeve or a wrap over the tank window solves it.
-
Question What e-liquid works best in a vape pipe?
-
Answer
Pipe tobacco blends, unsurprisingly. Our English Flake Pipe Tobacco is formulated specifically for this, and the naturally extracted tobacco blends give the closest thing to a real pipe's character.
Beyond those, our range runs to eleven tobacco varieties - Premium, Virginia, LUX, Mirabella, New London, 5x5, Flue Cured, Rich and Sweet, Robusto, Canadian and English Flake - plus menthol. More than half of everything we make is tobacco or menthol, which is unusual in a market built around fruit and dessert flavours.
Fruit and dessert e-liquids work perfectly well in the device. Most pipe owners simply do not want them.
-
Question What nicotine strengths can I use?
-
Answer
Anything from 0mg nicotine-free up to 20mg/ml, which is the maximum permitted under UK TRPR regulations. Nicotine-containing e-liquid is sold in 10ml bottles in the UK, again as the regulations require.
If you are coming from pipe tobacco rather than cigarettes, a lower strength usually suits better - pipe smokers tend not to inhale deeply, and a high-strength e-liquid can feel harsh. Many of our pipe customers use nicotine-free entirely and keep the device purely for the ritual.
-
Question How long does the battery last?
-
Answer
A full charge typically covers a day of ordinary use, though this varies considerably with how often you draw and how long each draw lasts. It charges using Nitecore battery charger in roughly 90 minutes.
The battery is rated for hundreds of charge cycles. If it does eventually weaken, it is a replaceable part rather than a reason to replace the pipe.
-
Question Can I get spare parts?
-
Answer
Yes, and this is the main reason to buy a vape pipe rather than a disposable device. We stock replacement stems, tanks, coils, batteries and bowls for the 629 series.
Coils are the only genuine consumable, typically lasting one to three weeks. Everything else is replaced only if damaged. We have supported this series since 2007, which is longer than most vape hardware stays on the market at all.
-
Question How much does a vape pipe cost in the UK?
-
Answer
Our ePipe 629 X3 kits run from £159.95 for the rosewood to £199.95 for the ebony, complete with presentation box and everything needed to start.
That reflects genuine hardwood construction and a device built to be repaired rather than replaced. Accessories - travel pouches and hardwood stands - start at £9.95. Ongoing cost is e-liquid and the occasional coil.
-
Question What are the shipping and warranty terms?
-
Answer
We ship from our own UK warehouse in Leicester. Standard delivery is quoted at 24-48 hours, and in practice most orders arrive the next working day. Free UK shipping on orders over £50, and Royal Mail Next Day Guaranteed is available at checkout for a small extra fee with a 3pm cut-off, Mon-Thurs .
Every ePipe carries a 1-year hardware warranty and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Sales are restricted to adults aged 18 and over, with age verification at checkout.
-
Question Does the October 2026 vape duty affect e-pipes?
-
Answer
Not the hardware. From 1 October 2026 the UK's Vaping Products Duty adds £2.20 per 10ml of e-liquid plus VAT, but devices, batteries, tanks, coils and accessories are not taxed - your pipe and its spares are unaffected.
E-liquid is affected. We stocked ahead of the deadline, so ePuffer e-liquid prices hold at pre-duty levels while that stock lasts, per product line. Full detail in our guide to the Vaping Products Duty.
-
Question Do you sell anything other than vape pipes?
-
Answer
Yes. Alongside our e-pipes we make rechargeable e-cigars and cigalike e-cigarettes, both built on the same principle: keep the shape and ritual of the original, lose the combustion. These classic formats are the categories most of the vaping industry abandoned, and the ones we have specialised in since 2007.
Vapes, Pods & Mods FAQ
-
Question Is ePuffer owned by a big tobacco company?
-
Answer
No. ePuffer is independently owned and has been since we started in 2007. We are not part of a tobacco group, we have no tobacco investors, and nothing about what we make is decided by anyone else's boardroom.
That independence is why our range looks the way it does. Most of the industry chased disposables and generic pod devices. We kept building the formats we care about - cigalikes, e-cigars and hardwood e-pipes - because those are the products our customers actually ask for.
-
Question What is a vaporizer?
-
Answer
A vaporizer heats e-liquid or dry botanical material to produce vapour, without burning it. All e-cigarettes are vaporizers, but not all vaporizers are e-cigarettes - the differences are in form factor and use.
- Cigalikes - shaped and sized like a real cigarette, with replaceable cartridges
- E-cigars and e-pipes - larger classic formats built for the ritual and the feel of the original
- Vape pods and pod mods - compact, refillable, longer battery life
- Dry herb vaporizers - heat loose dried botanical material rather than e-liquid. Use only with legal botanicals, in line with UK law
Note: disposable vapes can no longer be sold in the UK, so rechargeable devices are now the only option. Everything we make is rechargeable. Free UK delivery on orders over £50.
-
Question What are Liquamizers, clearomizers and vape tanks?
-
Answer
All three are containers that hold e-liquid. A clearomizer is a transparent plastic or glass tank with a built-in atomizer - wicks draw liquid onto the heating coil, which produces the vapour.
Liquamizer is our own term, used mainly for our electronic pipes. It is a glass tank designed for the 629 series, taking replaceable atomizer coils.
-
Question What are cigalikes, cartridges and cartomizers?
-
Answer
A cigalike is an e-cigarette built to the shape and size of a traditional cigarette. On rechargeable models the battery is reused and the cartridge holding the e-liquid is replaced.
Early cartridges were bulky three-part assemblies: a container, a separate heating element, and a cotton sponge soaked in e-liquid. We introduced the SNAPS® all-in-one cartridge, or cartomizer - prefilled, with the coil and cotton built in, connecting to the battery magnetically rather than by screw thread. When it is finished you fit a fresh one. A great many modern pod systems work on the same principle.
-
Question Are vaporizers regulated in the UK?
-
Answer
Yes, closely. All ePuffer products sold in the UK comply with the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations (TRPR): nicotine strength capped at 20mg/ml, nicotine-containing e-liquid in 10ml bottles, 2ml maximum tank and pod capacity, and compliant labelling and packaging. Nicotine-containing products are notified to the MHRA as required.
Our e-liquids are diacetyl-free. Ingredients are listed on each product page.
Nicotine is an addictive substance. Our products are intended for adults aged 18 and over who already smoke or vape, and are not suitable for non-smokers, under-18s, or anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.
-
Question Can I buy vapes online in the UK?
-
Answer
Yes, legally, if you are 18 or over. Orders are age-verified at checkout. We stock rechargeable pod kits, cigalikes, e-pipes and e-cigars, all shipped from our own UK warehouse in Leicester.
Standard delivery is quoted at 24-48 hours and most orders arrive the next working day, free on orders over £50. Royal Mail Next Day Guaranteed is available at checkout for a small extra fee, with a 3pm cut-off, Mon-Thurs .
-
Question Which vape is best for a beginner?
-
Answer
A cigalike starter kit or a pod system. Both are simple, need almost no setup, and there is nothing to assemble or adjust.
The SNAPS® Cigalike Starter Kit includes:
- Two rechargeable batteries, so one is always charged
- A variety cartridge sampler pack
- Trio USB charger, charging up to three batteries at once
- USB-C extension cable
- Magnetic SNAPS® connection - no threads to cross or wear out
If you would rather have something more compact and refillable, an XPOD starter kit is the alternative.
-
Question Are disposable vapes still available?
-
Answer
No. UK regulations introduced in 2025 ban the sale of disposable vapes, so only rechargeable devices may be sold.
Nothing in our range is affected. We redesigned our Robusto e-cigar as a rechargeable pod device in response, and everything else we make was already rechargeable. Over any length of time a rechargeable device also works out considerably cheaper than replacing disposables.
-
Question Do all vapes contain nicotine?
-
Answer
No. Every device we sell can be used with either:
- Nicotine e-liquid - from 6mg/ml up to the UK maximum of 20mg/ml
- Nicotine-free e-liquid - 0mg, for the flavour and the habit without nicotine
We stock both across the range, and switching between them is just a matter of what you order next time. Nicotine-free is a common choice for people who want to keep the ritual, and for stage and film work.
-
Question What can I do with an old device or empty pods?
-
Answer
Vape hardware contains a lithium battery and electronic components, so it should not go in household waste. We operate a takeback and recycling scheme under UK WEEE requirements - send old devices and empty pods back to us and we will handle disposal properly.
Because our devices are rechargeable and we stock spare parts, most of ours stay in use for years rather than being replaced. Coils and pods are the only routine consumables.
-
Question What else does ePuffer make?
-
Answer
Our range centres on classic formats most of the industry left behind: rechargeable e-cigars, hardwood electronic pipes, and SNAPS® cigalikes - alongside the XPOD and SHIFT pod systems and our own e-liquid range, which runs to eleven tobacco varieties as well as menthol and fruit blends.
